Send to friendThis test is the Canadian version of the SSAT*. It measures the achievement in the basic skills commonly taught in schools across the country. The curricular areas measured are: reading, language, spelling, writing and math. This type of test indicates how well the child is doing in comparison to others at the same grade level across Canada and profiles the strengths and needs in the above areas.
For students currently in Grade 4 applying for Grade 5 entry, this Canadian Achievement Test (CAT) program helps students prepare for the private school admission process. Students will be taught test-taking strategies using a set of tests of reading, mathematics, language, writing, vocabulary development, and spelling. These tests measure achievement in the basic skills generally taught in schools across Canada. Emphasis is also placed on the personal interview and social skills assessment.
